The four years full time Degree Course is divided into two parts
a]	Foundation Course
b]	Specialisation Course
Foundation Course
This course is of one year duration and is common to all the students. As its name implies, this course provides basic instructions to lay the foundation for the specialisation.
Specialisation Course
The College offers Specialisation course in :-

a] Painting b] Sculpture c] Applied Art

These courses are of three years duration and provide intensive and advance training in theory and practice.

Number of Seats

The total number of seats in the Foundation course is 108 available to the three specialisation as under:-

Painting 30 seats

Sculpture 10 seats

Applied Art 60 Seats

Deaf & Dumb 3 seats

Foreign Nationals 5 seats

Admission Procedure

There will be entrance examination in the month of June. The entrance examination will be on two subject [a] General Knowledge related to Art & Culture of India [b] Creative Test. The Final selection will be on basis of merit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

a] Senior School Certificate Examination [12 year course] of the C.B.S.E., New Delhi or equivalent examination with 50% or more marks in the aggregate for applications of General Category.
b] 45% marks for applicants of SC/ST category and general category students with Painting, Sculpture or Applied Art as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination Widows and/or Children of Armed Personnel.

c] The applicant should not be less than 17 years of age as on 1st October of the year.

Application Form and Prospectus for admission to the aforesaid courses in the College of Art, New Delhi, will be available for sale in the College office from Friday, 8th June to Saturday 30th June 2007, on all working days [including Saturdays] between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on cash payment of Rs.500/- for General Category and Rs,250/- for SC/ST category candidates or Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favor of the Principal College of Art, New Delhi payable at New Delhi, or through Post along with a self-addressed envelope of 10" x 12" duly affixed with Rs.50/- Postage stamp. Details regarding Qualification, Seats, Aptitude Test, Fees and Courses are given in the Prospectus. Application Forms duly completed should reach the Principal, College of Art, New Delhi, by hand on or before Saturday, 30th June, 2007 and by Registered/Speed Post before Tuesday 03rd July, 2007. Applications received thereafter will not be considered.

Jamia Milia Islamia University

The University Offers the same course as offered by the College of Art, New Delhi. The Entrance test pattern will be the same as conducted by the College Art, New Delhi. The entrance test will be held in July.

Admission Procedures

1. Applications are accepted by the Polytechnic only after May 2nd.

2.
Preference has to be given to students of Maharashtra State.

3.
A separate admission form should be submitted for each course selected.

4.

Selection for some courses is on the basis of a test and /or interview scheduled to be held in June. Details can be had from the Administration office. Outstation Students [India only] will be informed of the date of interview by post.

UNIVERSITY OF ALLAHABAD
Application form can be obtained directly from Allahabad University on cash payment of Rs.250/- [ for SC/ST & PH Rs.100/-]
