TIMES provides coaching classes for IILM entrance exam. The details of IILM is as under.

Academics
Specialized 4 year Graduate programme from IILM Institute.
Foundation Programme:
This is a two semester (1 year) programme for
entry into any three-year graduate diploma in design programme. It is designed
to help students to develop skills attitude and sensitivity required for further
specialization in specific areas of design.
Specializations: (3 year full time, 6 semesters
Graduate Programme in Graphic Design
The Communication Design program educates and trains designers for the communication needs of industry and society. In this programme emphasis is placed on the conception, creation, planning and realization of visual solutions to complex problems in contemporary culture. Students integrate methodology, prototyping, aesthetics, human factors, technology, materials, context and audience to develop strategies and solutions that give form to print, screen and the built environment. Faculty emphasizes the objectives of design rather than the process of production, and encourages innovative visual ideas that inform, interpret, instruct or persuade the intended user across the spectrum of application.
Communication Design activities include design for printed media, such as books, magazines, brochures, posters, newspapers, information graphics, and the creation of symbols and corporate identification devices. The profession also includes packaging, point-of-purchase display, product graphics, and environmental graphic design, as well as animation, computer-based multimedia, interface and interaction design.
Graduate Programme in Industrial Design
Product
Design
Product design concerns itself with the design of
every conceivable product that is used in our day-to-day existence. It
encourages artistic creativity along with functional usage, craftsmanship, and
personal expression while serving the larger goals.
Product design is comparatively new and one of the fastest growing Design
professions all over the world, especially here in India. The past decade has
seen a rapid growth in the product manufacturing industry-creating a need for
technology savvy, professional product designers.
The curriculum has been designed to sensitize students to learn and deal with
various materials, environment and technology. Deriving 3 D forms suiting
functionality and aesthetic. Inputs to visualizing 3 D forms and bring them to
prototype which can be taken to manufacturing.
Interior
Design
By definitions within this discipline create spaces
and spatial relationships with on interiors of buildings. These help in creating
environment that meet the physical and psychological needs of the individuals
who use them, weather they are personal spaces or public spaces.
The programme introduces the students to the principles, relationships and
balance of interactivity forces which create and control the interior
environment in which people live, work and entertain. It also develops their
ability to manipulate space, light, furniture and furnishings of an interior.
They learn to explore the functional, visual, spatial and environmental aspects
of interior design.
Graduate Programme in Textile Design:
Textile design creates distinctive identities for our
clothing, furniture and interior environment. India has a rich tradition in
textiles right from the ancient times. Even in today’s modern India Textiles
plays an active role in every aspect of day to day life.
The Textile Design program develops the students' intellectual, aesthetic,
analytical and technological abilities, integrating theory with traditional and
digital application. The program is structured to provide students with the
multi-disciplined skills needed to meet industry demands.
IILM Institute looks for candidates who possess and demonstrate the intellectual talent, imagination and qualities of mind and character that will allow them to benefit from our curriculum and contribute to the life of the college and society.
Grades, test results, essays, interviews and achievements outside the classroom are among the factors used to evaluate this promise, but no one of these measures is considered determinative.
Admissions
Under Graduate Programs
Eligibility: The candidate must possess a 10+2 certificate from a recognized school / college as per the Indian Education System. A minimum of 50% aggregate is required in the class XII board examination.
Selection Process:
The selection of the candidates would be on the basis of their class XII result followed by a personal interview.For Design Program: Basic drawing skills test followed by personal interview
Post Graduate Programs:
Eligibility: Minimum 50% in graduation in any discipline, from India or abroad, recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or University Grants Commission (UGC).
Selection Procedure: The applicant will be selected through a three-tier screening system, which involves a written test, group discussion and personal interview. The aim is to test the aptitude and interest of the course aspirants. Candidates who have written CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT/GMAT/JMET will be exempted from the written test.
Admission Process for all programs:
1. The application form can be obtained from the institute or can be downloaded from the website.
2. The completed application form should be returned to the institute with all the relevant documents (as mentioned on the last page of the Application form), and a processing fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only)
