About Srishti

Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology was founded in 1996 by the Ujwal Trust with the objective of providing art and design education in an environment of creativity and maximizing individual potential. Srishti’s inter-disciplinary approach helps promote self-initiated learning and independent thinking, while expanding perceptual perspectives and developing artistic vocabularies. Courses are taught by industry-experienced faculty and the curriculum is built on a broad based liberal arts foundation.

Srishti offers a two year Foundation Studies and Core Skills program for 12th standard graduates. Students can then opt to apply for a Professional Diploma in any of the 2-year specializations offered at Srishti – Textile Design, Fashion Design, Visual Communication Design, Digital Video Production and Furniture & Interior Design. They can also opt for a one year Certificate, 2 year Professional Diploma or 3 year Advanced Professional Diploma in the inter-disciplinary Design for Community and Self program.
 

Direct Entry:
Experienced professionals and students from other related disciplines who meet our eligibility criteria can also apply for admission in the above mentioned specialized or inter-disciplinary programs.

Eligibility for CD and ID: Foundation and core skills programme (2 years) of  shirsti, or +2 with two years additional study, graduate/diploma holders  with 2 years study, graduates or diploma holders in arts, design, architecture or related fields etc

Srishti Exam Structure
The entrance test is an aptitude test. It tests the students on logical thinking, drawing & color skills, visualization skills and language skills. Candidates who qualify in the entrance test must then appear for a portfolio review & interview in Bangalore. The portfolio is used to assess a candidate’s talent, interests, prior training, motivation and self-discipline.

Admission Details

Srishti admits students after 10+2 into the Foundation Studies programme, and graduates or experienced professionals as direct entrants into the various specialisation programmes.

ENTRY CRITERIA (Foundation studies)

· Successful completion of the 10+2/PUC examination

· Graduates or diploma holders in any discipline

ENTRY CRITERIA (Direct entry)

· Graduates or diploma holders in Art, Design, Architecture or related disciplines, or students of such courses with at least 2 years of study successfully completed

· Professionals from related disciplines with a minimum of two years experience in the specific area, and having passed their 12th board exams successfully

· Long-standing professionals from any discipline with a passion for design

· At least 20 years of age, at the time of application.

· Besides these, each specialisation also further specifies criteria for direct entry. Kindly read through these as applicable in the programme of your choice.

To enter into the Foundation Studies program the candidate must qualify in an entrance test to be held on 14 May 2006 in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
